Engjellushe Duka began her vocal studies at the Folkwang “University of Arts” Essen, Germany, where she completed her Diploma graduation in the course “Musiktheater” and her graduation in “Voice Performance” Master of Music with Prof. Rachel Robins.
During her studies, she was awarded with the Scholarship of the Cläre and Alfred Pott Foundation, the Rotary Foundation, the Diener Foundation and the Richard Wagner Foundation.
As part of the Folkwang university projects, she took over her first scenic roles in the operas: Hänsel and Gretel (Sandmann), Falstaff (Miss Alice) and in the production of David Freeman Ariadne on Naxos (Ariadne). She has participated in Master Classes by Olaf Bär “Lied Interpretation” and Andreas Homoki “Opernpraxis”.
As a member of the Opera Studio at the “Musiktheater im Revier” in Gelsenkirchen, Germany she sang in the productions: Hansel and Gretel (Gretel), in the production of Roland Schwab Zar and Zimmermann (Marie), Ariadne auf Naxos (Nayade), Die Zauberflöte (2. Knabbe), Les Enfants Terrible (Elisabeth), Bis aufs Blut (Helene, Eleonore), Die Eichbaum-Oper (Das Mädchen),Gloriana (Lady in Waiting, Housewife) and The Love for the Three Oranges (Linetta).
Engjellushe Duka is a prize winner of the International Singing Competition at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg. She sang the role of Venus in “Orpheus in the Underworld” in the production of Kay Link at the Bayer Kulturhaus – Leverkusen, Germany.
From 2013 to 2015 she was a guest at the Theater Dortmund, Germany in the role of Micaela for the production “Carmen außer Kontrolle”, Three noble orphans in the “Rosenkavalier” and the Stepmother in the Opera “Sneewitte”.
In the 2015-2016 season Engjellushe Duka participated as a guest at the Contemporary Music Festival “Spieltriebe 6”in the production “Das Apokalyptische Ich” at the Theater Osnabrück, Germany.
